A brief guide to our village and its surroundings.



- 500 km (300 miles) of footpaths and 1096 km ( around 700 miles) of waymarked mountain bike trails, all well cared for and mapped. Walking and mountain biking guides are available in the Syndicat d'Initiative office in St Just en Chevalet and at other retailers in the region. - A lively, well stocked market offering a range of produce, much of it local, takes place every Thursday. There is also a wide range of local shops and artisans in the village providing a full range of services including banking, food, hardware, clothing and vehicle repairs. Most shops are open through the week including Sunday morning.
- Local artists and craftspeople display their work in a showroom in the old quarter of the village.
- Artists: sculptor in metal and wood and a painter in the countryside around the village.
